About the author

Dr. Masoud Saman

Dr. Masoud Saman is a double board certified facial plastic and reconstructive surgeon. He trained in reconstruction, rebuilding faces after cancer, an approach that taught him that on the face nothing is decorative. Everything is structural, and every millimeter matters.

His practice is built around a small number of procedures performed at a level that rewards long study. He returns to Europe regularly to teach and learn alongside the surgeons reshaping the field, and surgeons travel to New York to train alongside him. He does not chase volume. He chooses cases where the work matters and the outcome can carry.

In 2007 he co-founded Chance to Smile, which provides pro bono reconstructive surgery for underserved patients each year. His work has been featured in The New York Times.
